Amy Middleton, Programming Director, has undergraduate degrees in Philosophy (Wilfrid Laurier University) and Health Studies (York University). She is currently pursuing an MSc in Health Promotion at the University of Alberta. Prior to beginning with PHEN in 2004, Amy worked in sport and recreation and with the YWCA of Edmonton. |

Al-Noor Nenshi Nathoo, Executive Director, works with several bioethics committees in the Calgary area. His background is in the field of ethics and social justice. He holds a B.Sc. in Biology/Human Genetics and the History and Philosophy of Science (McGill University) and an M.A. in Philosophy (University of Calgary) with a specialty in Ethics concentrating on issues of poverty and justice. His background in health care includes work in the areas of cancer research, home care and primary health care management. He has worked as a consultant with various Ottawa and Calgary agencies on human rights and international development. |

Joe MacGillivray, Director of Development, is the Executive Director of the Calgary Rural Primary Care Network. He was a member of the Steering Committee that established PHEN in 1995 and served on the PHEN board from 1999- 2007. Joe was previously the VP, Continuing Care and Support Services at the Caritas Health Group in Edmonton and CEO of St. Mary's Health Centre in Trochu. Joe's main interest in ethics is the ethics of resource allocation, which is an integral part of his administrative career. |
